IS THE DOUGH REALLY SAFE TO EAT UNBAKED?
Yes, absolutely! We use pasteurized egg whites and heat treated flour to kill any bacteria, so it’s safe to consume raw. Of course, with any raw food, consume at your own risk!
ARE YOU A GLUTEN OR NUT FREE KITCHEN? HOW DO YOU HANDLE ALLERGENS?
We are NOT a nut free or gluten free kitchen. We prepare products in our kitchen that contain gluten and/or nuts. However, we do our best to ensure there is not any cross contamination, following all the federal food manufacturing guidelines. We keep our allergens separate from our other products and take necessary precautions using different colored handles for out nut allergens, store our gluten free flour away from our other flours, and keep our tree nut products properly sealed and stored away from others. We also wash our nut and gluten based separately from others. We advise you to ask which flavors are gluten and nut free to ensure you are protected from possible exposure.
DOES YOUR COOKIE DOUGH CONTAIN EGGS?
Yes, our dough contains pasteurized egg whites which reduces the chance of salmonella.
WHAT TYPE OF FLOUR DO YOU USE? IT IS RAW TOO?
To ensure our flour is safe to eat, we use a heat-treated, ready-to-eat flour. That means there is little chance for food-borne illness.
DOES THE DOUGH TRAVEL WELL?
It depends. Our dough can be left out at room temperature for 3-4 hours. If you are traveling, we recommend freezing it ahead of time, wrapping it in foil and sticking it in a cooler or freezer bag when in transit. For your convenience, you may purchase ice packs and insulated bags at our shop. If you are flying, we recommend freezing the dough ahead of time, and check your dough in your bags, where they go under the plane. It is cooler down there, and the dough is not subject to TSA screening.
HOW DO I STORE MY DOUGH? AND HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Our cookie dough must be stored in the refrigerator or freezer because it contains perishable ingredients, like eggs and butter. Our ingredients do not have any additives or preservatives, so if properly refrigerated, it should last up to three weeks, and if frozen up to three months. But who can keep it around that long?!
IF I MAKE COOKIES OUT OF AN 8 oz CONTAINER, HOW MANY COOKIES WILL I GET?
If you have leftovers because you’ve got amazing self-control, you may bake most of our doughs. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and on a lined baking sheet, bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until your desired “doneness” is achieved. Depending on your scoop size, usually our 8 oz container will bake about 6 small cookies.
DO YOU OFFER ANY COOKIES ALREADY BAKED? WHAT ABOUT COOKIE CAKES?
YES! We sell select flavors of our doughs into baked cookies and offer custom cookie dough cakes. We know these will be an instant hit at any event, and make great gifts too! IS YOUR STORE KOSHER?
We are not a Kosher kitchen
WHAT ABOUT NUTS? ARE THERE ANY?
Yes, some of our cookie dough flavors do contain nuts. If there is an allergy, we can suggest flavors that are nut-free. If you have a severe allergy, understand we manufacture in a facility that processes peanuts and tree nuts. Our product may be nut-free, but our kitchen is not.
DO YOU OFFER ANY VEGAN DOUGH?
We currently do not offer any vegan dough but we’re introducing new flavors and products all the time. Follow us on social media to stay updated on the latest scoop.
WHAT ABOUT GLUTEN-FREE?
Yes, both Sugar Cookie Cutter and The Original “C” are available in a gluten-free option.
DO YOU OFFER NATIONWIDE SHIPPING?
We do not offer nationwide shipping yet, but will begin offering it soon. Until then, our doughs are available in store, and for local delivery to select areas for an additional charge
DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY?
No, we are unable to ship outside the country at this time.
CAN I ORDER FOR LOCAL PICKUP OR DELIVERY?
Delivery is available in the targeted Dallas area zip codes: for $15 with a $50 order minimum, or you can order trough Grubhub here https://www.grubhub.com
WHAT DO I DO IF MY DELIVERY DATE IS NOT AVAILABLE WHEN I'M CHECKING OUT?
Because we are a small batch operation, we can only produce a limited amount of dough each day to ensure the high quality of our products in not compromised. We are sorry if your date is unavailable, please choose an alternate date during check out.
HOW DO YOU SHIP YOUR COOKIE DOUGH?
All orders are shipped overnight on ice in an insulated container to ensure the quality is not compromised in transit. Please make sure to place your dough in the refrigerator upon receipt.
